How To Place A Forecast Trebles Bet

One of the most exciting forecast bets in sports betting, especially for fans of greyhound racing is the forecast trebles bet. Picking out one forecast is tough enough, but with greyhound race meetings having ten or twelve races in the space of a few hours, this makes the forecast treble bet one that can pay huge dividends.

With the forecast trebles bet, you’ll need at least three forecasts (a forecast treble) to get a return.

The forecast trebles bet is a great bet for using small stakes, even as low as a penny.

On this page, we want to give you a simple run-through on “How To Place A Forecast Trebles Bet”

HOW TO PLACE A FORECAST TREBLES BET ON GREYHOUND RACING

The first step in placing a forecast trebles bet on any sport is to get yourself set up with an account on your favourite sportsbook. Signing up with a reputable and licensed betting brand like William Hill, Betfred, Bet365, Boylesports and others, means you know your funds are secure. If you already have an account then you are good to go, so let’s dive in.

Once you have logged into your account and have funds on your account, then you are ready to start placing your forecast trebles bet and other sports wagers.

In the example below, we are using the William Hill website to show how to place a forecast trebles bet on dog racing.

Step 1. Go to the website at William Hill and select Greyhounds from the A-Z Sports menu on the left-hand side. You will then be presented with a screen like the one below. This will show you all of the available meetings either currently taking place or scheduled for that day. For our example, we will use Romford.

Step 2. Now click on the “All Races” box just below your chosen meeting and you’ll be taken to a screen like the one below.

Step 3. Now we need to select our trap numbers for each race. As you see above, we have selected traps 1&2 and in the bottom right corner, you will see those two selections have been added to the bet slip.

Now just continue down the page adding the trap numbers for the number of races you have chosen.

Once you have added all the races, you can just click on the bet slip and then scroll to the bottom to see how many forecast trebles your bet has.

In our example below we have selected 10 races.

So in the above screen, we chose ten races and you’ll see in our bet slip we can place either 120 straight forecast treble bets or 960 reverse forecast treble bets.

Straight Forecast Trebles Bet – A single straight forecast treble would be Trap 1&2 in the 18.09, Trap 1& 2 in the 18.28 and Trap 1&2 in the 18.43 race. For this bet to be successful we need trap 1&2 to be first and second in that order in all three races.

Reverse Forecast Trebles Bet – We have three races and we have selected Trap 1&2 in the 18.09, 1828 and 18.43 races at Romford Greyhound Stadium. For us to be successful, we need traps 1&2 to finish first and second in any order. So we have 8 trebles.

Trap 1&2 in the 18.09 Trap 1&2 in the 18.28 and Trap 1&2 in the 18.43
Trap 1&2 in the 18.09 Trap 1&2 in the 18.28 and Trap 2&1 in the 18.43
Trap 1&2 in the 18.09 Trap 2&1 in the 18.28 and Trap 2&1 in the 18.43
Trap 1&2 in the 18.09 Trap 2&1 in the 18.28 and Trap 1&2 in the 18.43
Trap 2&1 in the 18.09 Trap 2&1 in the 18.28 and Trap 2&1 in the 18.43
Trap 2&1 in the 18.09 Trap 2&1 in the 18.28 and Trap 1&2 in the 18.43
Trap 2&1 in the 18.09 Trap 1&2 in the 18.28 and Trap 1&2 in the 18.43
Trap 2&1 in the 18.09 Trap 1&2 in the 18.28 and Trap 2&1 in the 18.43

So that is how both a straight and reverse forecast treble bet works.
