What is a Lucky 15?

A Lucky 15 is a bet made up of 15 different bets, covering every possible combination from four selections. Sounds complicated, but it’s easier to understand once you have a breakdown. Here’s how a Lucky 15 on Paddy Power looks:

  • 1 fourfold accumulator
  • 4 trebles
  • 6 doubles
  • 4 singles

So to win the bet, you need to get one of each of these types of bets correct, you only have one shot at the fourfold but the other bets bring you more cover with more bets to cover the outcome. What’s more, a Lucky 15 uses your stake 15 times. If you were to place £1 on a Lucky 15, you would be staking £15 in total across the different bets.

The addition of 4 single gets is what separates a Lucky 15 from a Yankee bet (made up of 11 bets). The Lucky 15 is like an accumulator bet on steroids, and the payouts can be extremely handsome.

You can place a Lucky 15 on many types of sports, including horse racing, greyhounds, football and many more. We’re going to take you through how to place a lucky 15 bet on Paddy Power. In this example, we are going to place the bet on football.

First, you need to navigate over to the sport you wish to bet on, in this case, we are going to select ‘Football’.

You can also see the potential returns should your bet be successful.

Then, all you need to do is hit the ‘Place Bet’ button.

What is a Lucky 15 each way bet?

The standard Lucky 15 bet can be used across any sport, while a Lucky 15 each way bet is more suitable for horse racing. This bet is very similar to the standard Lucky 15 bet but adds 15 bets to create each-way wager. The bet is made up of 30 bets in total, so a stake of £10 will add up to £300.
