  4. Navigate to your chosen event
  5. Add selections to your betslip
  6. Confirm your bet

Log Into Your William Hill Account

The William Hill home page immediately offers a wide range of betting opportunities

First of all, you need to log into your account. Do this by hitting the “Login” button in the top-right of the page. A box will appear on the page enabling you to enter your username and password. Hit the big blue “Log In” button when complete.

After clicking “Login”, a new box appears prompting you to enter your username and password.

If you do not yet have a William Hill account, you’ll find a yellow “Join” icon beside the Login button. You cannot place a bet without an account.

If the website is not displayed in your own language, you can change it using the button directly below.

Make a Deposit

Once you are inside your William Hill account, you’ll need to make sure you have funds available for betting. You can naturally skip this step if you already have money in your account.

Visit the cashier, choose your preferred deposit option and follow the on-screen instructions.

Navigate to the Betting Page

It’s extremely simple to find your way around the William Hill website, thanks to intuitive navigation menus

Now that you have a fully funded William Hill account, it’s time to place a bet!

At the top of the screen, running from left to right, is a navigation menu. Click on “Betting”, which is to the far left of the menu, between the William Hill logo and the “Vegas” option. This will bring you to the main sports betting page.

Find Your Event

Navigating the WIlliam Hill betslip website is extremely easy, thanks to the left-hand menu.

If you already know exactly which event you want to be on, you can hit the “Search” option from the left-hand menu. Type in the team name, or whatever it is that you wish to bet on, and choose the market this way.

Alternatively, you can browse events manually. Down the left-hand side of the page runs a list of different sports and betting categories. Use this to navigate to the appropriate area of the site.

Note that not all of these categories are sports, since it also includes Politics, TV and other specials. Esports has its own category here too.

Selecting the category only brings you to a homepage for that sport. This displays featured games, enhanced odds specials or other information that most WIlliam Hill customers will find useful.

If you want to drill down into a specific event that is not featured, you should select “Competitions” from the new left-hand menu. Once this page loads, you can easily choose your desired competition.

Build Your Betslip

Every event at William Hill has its own page displaying a wide range of odds.

Once you’ve found your chosen event, you can click on it to pull up a full list of betting opportunities. The most commonly played markets will be towards the top of the page, for your convenience.

Click the odds of the selection you wish to bet on, in order to add it to the bet slip. You’ll find this towards the bottom right-hand side of the page. It will be minimised to allow you to see as many odds on screen as possible. Simply click on it to make it appear.

Continue adding selections until you are ready to place your bet.

Strike the Bet

The WIlliam Hill betslip is intuitive and simple to use.

Once you are ready to finalise your bet, check your betslip to ensure that your selections are correct.

The betslip will be set to “Quick Bet” by default. This makes certain assumptions to speed up the betting process. For instance, if you added four selections to the slip, William Hill will assume that you want to place a fourfold.

If that is correct, you can simply enter your desired stake into the white box at the base of the betslip and hit the yellow “Place Bet” button.

If you wanted to do something else, select the “All Multiples” tab. This will allow you to more easily place combinations of bets, such as singles, doubles and trebles, all with different stakes. Hit the yellow “Place Bet” button when you are ready.

That’s it! Your bets are now placed. For reference, you can quickly view them from the “My Bets” tab at the bottom right-hand side of the page.

How To Cancel A Bet On William Hill

There are generally two ways that you can cancel a bet. The first way is via the cash in feature.

On many selections that are made before the start of the event, there will be a cash in button that you can select to redeem the full cash amount of your stake before the bet. This method is not sure-fire, as odds can change negatively before you’re able to cash in.

If they do, you can try the second method, which is a polite email request to the customer service team with a good reason why you want to cancel the bet. They aren’t obliged to help, but sometimes they will be able to cancel the bet for you.

When Can You Cancel A William Hill Bet?

The main reasons for cancelling a bet is due to a bettor’s mistake, such as entering the wrong stake or wrong selection without noticing or by accident. Other than this, there is little that can be done and the final confirmation of the bet slip is the last word.

Can Bookies Cancel Bets

Yes, as mentioned earlier, when you get through to customer support, you’re likely to be met by a customer service agent, rather than the trading team, and they may refer the bet to a member of the trading team or they may be able to get the bet cancellation processed for you themselves. They can also cancel bets in the way of making them void, due to unexpected circumstances, or errors on their part. These are not due to request and are often totally unpredictable, but another reason that a bet might be cancelled.
