HOW TO PLACE A STRAIGHT TRICAST BET ON HORSE RACING
The first step in placing a tricast bet on horse racing is to make sure you have signed up with one of the many bookmakers online like Bet365, William Hill, BoyleSports, Betfred, Paddy Power, or your own preferred bookmaker.
Once you have your betting account set up and you have deposited funds into your account, then you are ready to start your tricast betting.
The example below uses the Betfred website to show how to place a straight tricast bet on horse racing.
Step 1. Go to your preferred bookie. In this example, we use Betfred.
Go to the website at Betfred and select horse racing from the list of sports.

Step 2. Select your horse race.
So once you select horse racing (highlighted in the green box above) you will see all of the race meetings for that day appear on a single page. So let’s go ahead and select the 2.30 race at Taunton.

In this example, we chose Port Of Starboard to finish first, We chose Ballygoe to finish second, and we chose Sister Saint to finish third in a £1 Straight Tricast.
Step 3. Select your horses.
When you reach the racecard, the first selection you click will be the horse that will be tagged as your option to finish first, and the second one you click will be the horse you select to finish second and so on.
As you will see on your bet slip, there is a “Reorder” button next to your selections, so if you change your mind and you want to make Ballygoe your selection to finish first, all you do is click the reorder button. and the screenshot below will appear.

You can now just drag Ballygoe above Port Of Starboard using your mouse.
Step 4. Order your horses.
Once you have dragged Ballygoe and made this horse the one you wish to be first in your straight tricast bet, then you click the green “Confirm” button and it will automatically change your bet slip to reflect the change.

You can now go ahead and log in and place your bet.
