Why Can’t I Cash Out at Betfred?

Cash-Out is one of the most important features found at online bookmakers. Betfred is no exception, with the sportsbook allowing you to cash out selected bets before the event or outcome in question has been settled.

However, there are instances in which cash out may not be available for customers. While there are various reasons for the unavailability of the popular service, some arise more than others. We’ve outlined each of the most common reasons for cash-out being down, below:

Why Won’t It Work – Cash Out

  • The market you’ve bet on is ineligible for cash out.
  • The bet is yet to become active.
  • Your bet is a horse racing single.
  • In-Play betting is not available for your wager.
  • The market is suspended due to in-play events.
  • A market in your bet has already settled.
  • Your cash-out value stands at zero.
  • You placed the wager with a Free Bet.
  • The bet was placed using a promotion.
  • You placed a Single from the Multiples section within your betslip.

As you can see, there are numerous reasons for cash-out going dark. If none of the above applies to your bet, Betfred may be experiencing technical problems and could be undergoing maintenance. If you believe this is the case, you may need to contact customer support for an update on when cash-out could be made available again.

Once Cash Out returns, you can settle bets at the touch of a button by pressing the Cash Out icon. You can find this on Betfred’s Cash Out section, displaying each of your open bets and their respective cash-out values. Upon requesting a cash-out, bets will be subject to a short processing period in which Betfred confirms that there have been no price changes or suspensions of markets.

After this period ends, Betfred should immediately credit your account with the value of your cash out. Feel free to withdraw cashed-out funds instantly using any of the methods mentioned earlier.
